A Person-Centred Approach

I offer a compassionate, person-centred approach to supporting individuals experiencing addiction or compulsive patterns of behaviour.

Addiction is rarely just about the substance or behaviour itself. It is often rooted in deeper experiences—emotional pain, stress, trauma, loneliness, or difficulty coping with overwhelming feelings. Rather than seeing addiction as a personal failing, I understand it as a coping strategy that has developed for valid and understandable reasons.

A Safe, Non-Judgemental Space

I provide a warm, supportive environment where you can speak openly and honestly, at your own pace. There is no pressure, no labels, and no judgement. You won’t be pushed into change before you feel ready—instead, we work together in a way that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.

Therapy Tailored to You

My work is grounded in a person-centred philosophy. This means your experiences, your needs, and your goals are at the heart of the process. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and therapy is about helping you reconnect with your inner strengths, choices, and sense of control.

How Therapy Can Support You

Therapy may help you to:

  • Explore your relationship with addictive behaviours or substances
  • Understand triggers, patterns, and underlying emotional needs
  • Develop healthier, more sustainable coping strategies
  • Build self-awareness without shame or self-judgement
  • Strengthen emotional resilience and regulation
  • Reconnect with your values, goals, and motivation for change
  • Support relapse prevention and long-term recovery

Moving Forward, At Your Pace

Recovery is not linear, and there is no single “right” way to approach it. My role is to walk alongside you—offering consistent support, understanding, and encouragement—as you find your own path forward.
